FPV stands for 'First Person View', which is a technique of flying the drone looking solely through the on board camera feed.
We can do this with any of our drones, but when you link it to our high speed and aerobatic racing drones, you can get a camera to the heart of the action:
We use a range of drones for FPV filming, as some are smooth and steady, while others are high speed and dynamic, so it depends on the shot you want to achieve.
For example our 'Cinewhoop' FPV drones are great for getting close to people on set as the propellers are shielded, something that also helps us get through small gaps and amongst obstacles.
Our racing style drones offer the maximum speed and aerobatic performance, allowing us to dive down the sides of buildings or chase the heart of the action.
We were given the amazing opportunity to do some FPV filming with our high speed aerobatic drones around the amazing Nemesis roller coaster at Alton Towers.
The video was commissioned by the Alton Towers Marketing Team as part of the celebrations for both national roller coaster day and the 25th anniversary of the iconic Nemesis roller coaster.
The video gives you an idea of how fast and aerobatic these drones can be, as well as how they fit amongst obstacles and get you closer to the action.
